Heinrich Himmler's early life from childhood to adulthood.
[ This is a picture of Himmler in 1907] Heinrich Himmler was born in Munich on October 7th 1900. To a conservative Roman Catholic middle class family. His father Gebhard Himmler and his mother Anna Maria along with his two brothers Gebhard ludwig and Ersnt Hermann were all a devout Roman Catholic family. Heinrich's name was given to him by his parents, after his godfather, Prince Heinrich of Bavaria. Heinrich attended grammar school in Landshut where his father was the deputy principle. He did really well on school work and academics, but he usually struggled with athletics because his health was poor along with his life long abdominal issues and other ailments. As the years went on in 1915 at the age of 15 Heinrich he began to train with the Landshut Cadet Corps, and his father Gebhard used his connections to the royal family to get Heinrich accepted as an officer candidate . He entered the reserve battalion of the 11th Bavarian Regiment, while his brother, Gebhard fought and saw combat at the western front. Gebhard ( brother ) was promoted to lieutenant and was given the Iron cross which was a military decoration medal, but on November 11 1918 when the war ended Heinrich was still training and since the war ended there was no need for Heinrich so on December 18 he was discharged and was denied the opportunity to become an officer graduate. After the war, at age 19 he went back to Lunshut and finished his grammar school in 1922. When he finished school he went to the Munich University and during his second year, Heinrich attempted to pursue his military career a second time and was unsuccessful, he was able to get involved in a paramilitary scene in Munich in which he met Ernst Rohm. Ernst was an early member of the Nazi party and the co founder of the Storm battalion. Ernst was highly admired by Heinrich because he was a highly decorated solider, and at his suggestion Heinrich joined his anti semitic group, the Reichskriegsflagge. After the Treaty of Versailles took effect, hyperinflation was raging and Heinrich's parents were unable to afford to keep all three of their sons in school and disappointed by Heinrich's unsuccessful military career he had to leave and get a low paying office job to keep his agricultural diploma, but only kept the job until September 1923.
